An electrochemical technique, developed by a Portuguese-Spanish team of scientists, allows for the dating of ancient copper and brass objects quite accurately and with very low invasive impact. The new technique was developed by the team of Antonio Doménech-Carbó, from the University of Valencia, in collaboration with Sofia Capelo, from the Universities of Lisbon and Évora, who is also member of the UNESCO Chair in Intangible Heritage and Traditional Know-How. The information was released on October 14, 2014, by the Portuguese daily newspaper O Público .
