Federal University of Viçosa

The Federal University of Viçosa [Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV)], located in the state of Minas Gerais, stands out in national and international scene as a center of excellence in teaching, research and extension activities, ranked as one of the top ten universities in Brazil. Composed of three campuses, the UHF offers 67 undergraduate and 38 graduate programs which are attended by students from over 30 nationalities. By investiting in a policy of engagement and dissemination of knowledge, the UFV can offer ample opportunities for the participation in exchange programmes, keeping agreements with nearly 100 institutions from 24 different countries.

An agreement signed on 1 September 2015 between the Federal University of Viçosa and the University o Évora, represented by the UNESCO Chair in Intangible Heritage and Traditional Know-How: Linking Heritage, establishes that the two institutions will cooperate within the framework of the UNITWIN Network promoted by the UNESCO Chair. Cultural heritage, landscapes, citizenship and smart specialisation are the areas of interest on which both institutions will focus their cooperation in teaching and research.
