Sajid Bin Doza

Sajid Bin Doza was born in Rajshahi Division, in the northern part of Bangladesh, and graduated in Architecture from the University of Khulna in 1999. He obtained his Master of Architecture degree from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2008 and completed his PhD in History of Art and Heritage Studies at the University of Évora, Portugal, in 2016. Since 2009 he is a faculty member and Assistant Professor of Architecture at BRAC University of Bangladesh.
The historic monuments of northern Bengal have been a great inspiration for his work, since they not only made him wish to be an architect, but helped him to create the artistic works in painting, cartooning and clay modeling that have won him several awards at home and abroad.
He has a keen interest in heritage studies and cultural identity, two subject matters to which he has given continuous attention both in his research and with regard to their introduction into cultural policies.
Within the framework of his studies, he organized six solo exhibitions showing his sketches and drawings on the cultural heritage of Bangladesh,
