One week scientific training workshop with students and researchers
Every year the research teams of Profs. Miguel Araújo and Carsten Rahbek get together to discuss science in a typically pleasant and remote place. In addition to the lab members, two senior external scientists are invited to participate in the retreat. In 2009, the lab retreat will take place at the Arrábida Monastery (Natural Park of Arrábida, near Lisbon), between the 19th and the 23rd of October. A detailed programme of the lab retreat will soon be available here.
This initiative will be sponsored by the Rui Nabeiro Biodiversity Chair at the University of Évora, the Spanish Research Council, and the Centre for Macroecology and Evolution at the University of Copenhagen.
